Women want nookie as much as the next bloke

Women crave sex as often as men, according to a poll which also suggests the art of seduction has disappeared from modern romance.

Almost 10,000 Australian men and women, aged between 25 and 45, participated in an online poll what they think about sex.

The findings, published in tomorrow's men and journals in the Health of Women Health, show that when it comes to love, lust and romance in the old style, genres are not so different.
The study found that nearly 33 percent of women want sex every day, compared with 40 percent of men. Reality is not so exciting, with 25 percent of women who have sex once a week, while one in five lucky only once a month.

Olivia Nicolson, 25, a director of events, and Chris Grady, 25, a forensic officer with NSW Police, have been together for four years and have a very healthy sex life - sex three or four times week - with both log. ''We're both very similar in what we want,''said Mr. Grady. ''I probably want a little more than Olivia, but in general we really enjoy being with them.''

Ms Nicolson said he often wanted sex every day. ''When I'm not tired from work I would say I like almost every day,''he said.

When a date is more likely to put them all in the mood, a romantic dinner was favored by one third of both sexes, but according to 61.8 percent of men and 52.4 percent women, there is nothing like a nice night to ignite the passion.

The dance is the unanimous winner for both sexes when it comes to activities most likely to turn on us, with 65.9 percent of women and 50 percent of men prefer a boogie in outdoor activities and leisure-based in a pub, a swimming pool.

As for sex itself, the survey suggests that we are all caught in a bit of routine. rushed foreplay was appointed as the main problem for 37.8 percent of women while 35 percent of men never complained women initiating sex.

More than half of both sexes, said the only thing I really wanted, above all, was to be seduced more often.

sex therapist and clinical psychologist Janet Hall said that sex was reduced to soulless hook-ups. ''The attitude toward sex is about the result, rather than the journey,''said Dr. Hall. ''People are not making love now, are just having sex.''

''The girls are not telling the kids what they want and as a result all the art of seduction is simply no longer exists.''

More than two thirds of both genders, said he would be open to watching porn or play games sexy role playing to spice things up.

Mrs Nicolson, said:''There is no need to mix it all that often. However, we have seen some porn and I sometimes wear underwear.''
